I entered in to a contract with Genita Petralli for her “101 Program” and she has been and remains in breach of contract for not delivering what was contractually obligated. She has also violated HIPPA laws by not providing me with the medical records and protocol she said she developed specific to my condition.
I was seeking a natural way to help taper off klonopin – taken as prescribed – never abused and found Genita. She is a great salesperson but stupid me wired $4,400 to her for her 101 outpatient program and we agreed that I would later transition to her Malibu facility (which she had posted pictures but said was full) – She sent me maybe $200 worth of supplements with NO testing and they actually made me worse – after several conversations and multiple emails over 2 weeks I said this isn’t working and asked for my money back.
As I researched more I found countless people who had horrible experiences with her in Costa Rica (they will post) but she is in breach of contract, has committed interstate wire fraud and refuses to refund any portion of my money saying she provided all the contracted services – I have a copy of the contract – she provided maybe 2 of the 10 services. She lied and threatened me with lawsuits, so I have filed complaints with the FTC, California Attorney General and State Medical Board. So I’m out $4,400 but others who were in her Costa Rica facility can tell their stories and you can decide but she lied, took money under false pretenses and never had the facility she claimed and to date – will not say where she has her degrees from.
Buyer beware – do not do business with this lady! Do your research and more people will post here with stories that will simply make your heart ache as they spent life’s savings in a desperate attempt to get well.

GENITA PETRALLI = SCAM ARTIST !!!!!
This detox program is run by Genita Petralli and it put several patients at HIGH risk in 2010.
It is a poorly run program that claims to be a “holistic detox” center.
This turned out to be atotal joke and I ended up being one of her “lab rats.”
In fact, Petralli’s illegal activities were reported to the US Embassy in Costa Rica, the Better Business Bureau, and the District Attorney’s Office.
Genita Petralli claims that she is against the psych industry but it is a well-known FACT that she locked a patient in their room (after the 4th week) for 2 days with no food when Petralli’s detox program did not work. Then Petralli threw that patient in a psych ward!! Another patient left after 2 weeks after deteriotationg rapidly instead of improving.
Yet another patient quit after 5 weeks and one patient eventually decided to go to a psych ward and then fly home. They all paid from $15, 000 to over $22, 000 for their 4 to 5 week “holistic” detox program” and never got a refund.
She is now opening a clinic in Malibu in January 2011 and in Costa Rica.
In 2010 she had NO professionally trained day staff to pass out important supplements, amino acids, and vitamins (she used a 20 year old family member for that job!) and no night nurse. Sleepless or distraught patients where left to fend for themselves and rely on each other. Meanwhile, Petralli spent most of her days and nights locked in her bedroom in front of her computer (stating she only handled the “science part” !! ) when she was clearly the Medical Director.
***Petralli was ironically awarded a “Human Rights Award” by the CCHR (Scientology-based “mental health human rights watch dog organzation = Google it !) in February 2010 while violating her own patients’ human rights!
There are SAFER, easier and less costly ways to detox.
